Justin Bieber has revealed the reason behind hisrecent T-shirt shout-out to Tiffani Thiessen – it’s his love for her work on “Saved by the Bell” – a show that went off the air a year before the singing superstar was born!
Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson caught up with the 17-year-old at the 2011 BET Awards on Sunday, where he explained his MuchMusic Video Awards T-shirt from last week, which featured the “Saved by the Bell” Bayside High heartbreaker, Kelly Kapowski, and reacted to Tiffanni wearing a Bieber shirt in NYC last week.
“Tiffani, yeah, she actually wore it too, so we both actually wore each other’s shirts which was kind of funny and ironic,” Justin told Shaun.
“It’s great, I loved it. I loved the shirt,” he continued. “And she’s great on ‘Saved by the Bell.’”
Last week, the 37-year-old actress explained her style choice and told Access that she was happy to find out the teen star was a fan of her classic teen TV series.
“[It] was sweet to see him wearing my shirt so I just wanted to show the admiration back,” Tiffani told Access Hollywood on Friday, adding she is a Bieber fan.
