Bhubaneswar/Cuttack, Aug 6 (PTI) The Orissa government today deputed health teams after detection of 29 dengue cases, including 23 from Angul district alone.Twenty-nine of 42 samples sent to the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack were found to be dengue cases, head of the Micro-biology department, Nirupama Chayini said.Out of the samples tested positive for dengue, 23 were from Angul district and three each from Cuttack and Sundargarh, she said.The state government sent a team headed by Director (public health) Dr Upendra Sahu to worst-affected Angul district for taking appropriate steps, Health and Family Welfare Minister Prasanna Acharya said.Most of the dengue cases were reported from colliery areas near Talcher as stagnant water was a breeding ground for mosquitoes, he said.Authorities in all districts and the state capital have been asked to take immediate prevntive steps and mosquito control measures.
