NEW YORK, N.Y. --
Emma Stone may have worn a host of skimpy outfits, including corsets and lingerie for her role in 2010 box office hit “Easy A,” but that might be all the skin moviegoers will ever get to see of the 22-year-old actress.
She told Vanity Fair’s August 2011 issue, she’s all about keeping her private parts, private, and admitted she is inspired by the covered frames of actresses like Diane Keaton.
”[She’s] one of the most covered up actresses of all time,” Emma told the mag of her hero, the star of such films as 2003’s “Something’s Gotta Give,” 1996’s “The First Wives Club,” and 1977’s “Annie Hall.”
A more modern actress Emma admires is Oscar winner Marion Cotillard.
“She’s so sexy, and she’s covered up,” the new “Spider-Man” leading lady added.
In the cover story on the actress, Emma confirmed she dropped out of school as a teen, and took online high school courses as she pursued her dream of acting. She also revealed that losing out to a pint-sized blonde actress – Hayden Panettiere – for the role of the cheerleader in “Heroes,” was a changing moment in her life.
“I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying,‘You are our pick… On a scale of 1 to 10 you’re an 11,” Emma told the mag.
“I went home and just had this meltdown,” the actress said of losing the part, something she used as major inspiration to win new roles, including her breakout in “Superbad,” opposite Michael Cera and Jonah Hill.
Things have turned out all right for the actress who will shortly be seen in “Friends with Benefits,” alongside Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, the upcoming “The Help,” with Bryce Dallas Howard, and next year’s “The Amazing Spider-Man,” with Andrew Garfield, who offered an unusual opinion of the actress.
“The thing that sums her up for me, is she wants to be a baker,” Andrew told the mag.
Presently the two are rumored to be in a romance, but Emma shied away from any talk about her love life.
“Talking about this stuff is pretty new,” she told Vanity Fair. “The only solution I’ve come to when it comes to things like that – the health of my family or dating, really personal things – is not to talk about it.”
